W. James Weemes, 89, of Talent, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007. There will be a viewing Sunday, November 4, 2007, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A funeral service will be Monday, November 5, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., at Lighthouse Family Worship Center, in Medford. Pastors Bud and Dawn Coffman will be officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rogue Valley Medical Center Hospice.
James was born February 21, 1918, in Bennington, Okla., to David and Zular Weemes. He married Janice Ann, and enjoyed ten years of marriage.
He was a rancher in California, Oregon, and retired from McGrew Bro's Mill in Ashland. He was also a usher and greeter at his church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 11 siblings, and his first wife, Polly.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Ann; four daughters, Elaine Nelson, Sacramento, Calif, Judy Griffin and Glenda Haskins, Talent, and Janice Johnson, Dunsmuir, Calif.; eight grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
