Viola Pearl Reaves was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away on January 6, 2022, at the age of 87 in her longtime home of Central Point, Oregon.
Viola (Vi) was born to Andrew Jackson (Jack) Davis and Lottie Pearl Davis on August 11, 1934 in San
Antonio, Texas. She spent her early years growing up in Texas. She had siblings Nona, Norman, Andrew, Lois, Dora, Winkie, Joyce, and Gail. In high school she met the love of her life, Gerald (Jerry) Reaves, whom she married in 1950. Soon after they moved to Central Point, where they
lovingly established “Reaves’ Green Acres”.
Vi and Jerry were active members of their community. Together they won many awards for dancing, league bowling, and shuffleboard. She also enjoyed painting and flowers. She lived a life full of devotion and faith in the Lord, and much of her life was spent in and around the Gold Hill Christian Church. She loved nothing more than using her passion for baking to provide delicious meals at church events throughout her life. Vi was a committed member of the local Odd Fellows lodge, at one point serving as Noble Grand at the Gold Hill Branch.
Vi is preceded in death by her husband Jerry and son George and is survived by her son Ted and daughter Sandra. She cherished every moment with her grand, great-, and great-great-grandkids.
