Venus Trump

Venus Trump, 93, of Talent, Oregon passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 25, 2011. Her family was by her side. She was born in Nebraska on June 14, 1917 to Dayton Rudd and Retta Meeker. Venus married Cecil Trump, the love of her life, in 1936. Cecil passed away in 2004. Venus retired from the Cheyenne School District where she worked as a cafeteria manager. Venus was a member of The Elks, The Eagles, Union Pacific Old Timers Club and The Airport Golf Club. Venus enjoyed cooking, watching Lawrence Welk, crocheting and visiting with family and friends. Venus moved to Oregon in 2007 to be near her daughter Lois because of her poor health. She is survived by two children, a son Clifford (Karen) Trump of Goodyear, AZ and a daughter Lois (John) Schmidt of Talent, OR, four grandchildren Kathy Carraway of Medford, OR, Casey Trump of Reno, NV, Michael Trump of Spearfish, SD and Tom Trump of Goodyear, AZ, five great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil, her parents, brother Elgin Rudd, sister Elise Miller (3/12/11), and two grandsons Randy and David Schmidt. She will be laid to rest beside her husband and her two grandsons in Cheyenne, Wyoming at the Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 4th , Rugged Cross Chapel at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
