WILLARD- Velma Lucille McKeen, 89 passed away, Thursday, March 20, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Velma was born on August 4, 1924 in Ponca City, OK, a daughter of Hazel Beatrice Sleeth and Oscar Wolf. She married Dan O. McKeen on November 1, 1941 in Tempe, AZ. Dan passed away on January 1, 2000. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a Primary teacher for many years also serving in the Relief Society Presidency.
Surviving is her son Daniel Owen McKeen, Jr, Grants Pass, OR: four grandchildren: Kevin Valentine, Silverton, OR; Jimmy Valentine, Prineville, OR; Micheal Valentine, CA; and Lori Holmes, Firestone, CO; five great-grandchildren, adopted many children and grandchildren; a brother, Chet Wolf, Susanville, CA.
Preceded in death by her husband, Dan and daughter, Bonnie Valentine.
Viewing will be held at 9:00 AM Friday, March 28, 2014 with services following at 10:00 AM, at the Hillcrest Memorial Chapel, 2201 N. Phoenix Rd, Medford, OR.
Interment will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford, OR.
