Thomas E. DeSilva, 61, passed away of natural causes November 3,2012. Tom was born to Frankie and Opal DeSilva on October 29, 1951 in Redlands California.
Tom served our country in the United States Navy from January 1970-1976. He was part of the U.S. Naval Whidbey Parachuting Team and continued his love for skydiving long after his navel career was over. He worked on a U.S. Naval carrier as a naval underwater welder, a commercial deep sea and helium diver and dental technician. He continued with his passion for deep sea diving by continuing to scuba dive. Tom was an avid white water rafter and outdoorsman, mastering the lower Rogue River with family and many Rogue Valley friends. He was also very passionate about his love of playing the guitar and singing. Tom established himself as a long standing dental technician in and around the Rogue Valley.
Tom is survived by his loving partner, Linda Polischeck, his son Aaron Thomas DeSilva, brother, Roger Desilva, daughter-in-law Jackie DeSilva, expected granddaughter Naiya Siran DeSilva and Aaron's mother, Teri DeSilva. He is also survived by Linda's son Ryan Polischeck and grandson, Talon. He is proceeded in death by his father, mother and brother, Dennis DeSilva.
A celebration of life will be held at Roxy Ann Winery, Medford, OR., 3:00 pm Saturday, November 10, 2012. Casual attire requested.
