Therese Catherine Chriss

Therese Catherine Chriss, age 90 years, was born Jan. 3, 1929 in New Prague, MN to parents James M. Delehanty & Mary Cathryn Shields.        She passed away peacefully Sunday April 28, 2019 with her loving family at her side. She was raised on the family farm in MN. and left home at the young age of 16 for her first job in the city. This sparked her love for adventure and travel. She married Charles Chriss in 1984 and they soon moved to Medford, OR. in 1986. Charles passed in 2005. She joined Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was an active member for many years. Dedicating much of her time and love to volunteering there. Shortly after, helping to form the Friendship Club. These two passions became the driving forces that guided her to the many lifelong friendships. Therese loved life. She filled each day with as much as she could. Spending time with her friends, traveling, cooking for loved ones and volunteering her time to help in many local charities and community causes.

Therese married Linsley Dotson in 2011 giving her an instant family. Five stepdaughters that were so thankful to welcome and love her. Together, Therese and Lin enjoyed their years together loving each other more each passing day. Spending their time pursuing the activities they enjoyed.

Survivors include her husband Linsley, five stepdaughters and their spouses, children and grandchildren.

In her words:

"Am I sad we are closing? Of course I am, however I am leaving with the feeling of gratitude that we have fulfilled all that we meant to be. And so, until we meet again, Shalom".

Viewing will be held from 3:00-7:00PM Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Hillcrest Chapel, 2201 N. Phoenix Rd, Medford, OR 97504. Funeral services will be 10:00AM Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Hillcrest Chapel with a light reception to follow. She will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Memorial Park after the service.
