Sharon Lurene (Love) Batten

Sharon went to be with her Lord on Jan. 6, 2013, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Sharon was born Aug. 24, 1941 to Cleo and Daisy (Renner) Love in Thermopolis, Wyoming where she was raised.
In June 1963 she moved to Medford, Oregon. She married Douglas Batten. The marriage later ended.
Sharon worked her entire adult life to support her family and retired from Ashland Community Hospital in 2006.
Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. Sharon cherished the time she spent with them. She enjoyed reading her bible and sailing.
She is survived by her son Travis (Louri) Batten of Medford, Oregon. Her daughter Tonia (Mark) Crippen
of Brookings, Oregon, Three grandsons, Ryan (Amberly), Batten, Rykken Nelson and Jared Hatfield, Three
granddaughters, Jazzmine Nelson, Kairah Beltz and Jessie Calhoun, One great grandson, Derrick Batten
and one great granddaughter, Makela Calhoun, One brother Arley Love of Thermopolis, Wyoming, Three sisters, Joann Love and Shirley Love of Thermopolis, Wyoming and Gina Knifong of Birch Bay, Washington and many nieces and nephews and her special friend Gerry Dunn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Wendell Love.

Sharon loved her Lord. She was a member of the Medford Seventh Day Adventist Church and an active
supporter of Set Free Christian Fellowship.

Services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel, 2201 North Phoenix Road, Medford, Oregon on Jan 11, 2013 at 1:30 PM
Donations to be made to Medford Seventh Day Adventist Church in lieu of flowers.
