Sharon Ruth Barker

Sharon Ruth Barker, age 76, of Medford, OR passed peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021 at her home. She was born in Medford, OR on Feb 26, 1945 to parents George & Esther(Hubler) Barker. She attended various special needs classes in the Rogue Valley. Her last classes were at Hedrick Junior High. Sharon worked through the Living Opportunities program for 10 years, including the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce where she prepared travel packets.
She lived with her parents until June of 1989, then she moved into adult foster care. In Sept, 2001 she relocated to Jean Nussbaum's Adult Foster Care where she lived the last 20 years under Jean's loving care.
Surviving family members are two sisters; Donna Anderson and Marilyn Field. Sharon was auntie to Jennifer, Lorna, Bruce and Jordan. She enjoyed people so much and had a great sense of humor.
We will miss her terribly but look forward to seeing her again running and laughing in Heaven.
She will be laid to rest beside her parents with graveside services being held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021 in Hillcrest Menorial Park, Medford, OR.
