Ruth Elizabeth Elbert/Woolhiser

d. April 4, 2008

Ruth E. Elbert/Woolhiser
Ruth, 94, passed away, Friday. She was born in Jefferson City, Mo., on December 7, 1913.
She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1961 and worked for Safeway Market until retirement. Ruth was a unique woman who married twice. Her first husband was Ray Elbert and her second husband was Glenn Woolhiser. They were both wonderful men, both of whom she outlived. Richard Elbert, her son, and only child preceded her in death.
She believed in family and was always willing to lend a hand. She chose to live simply but comfortably, which allowed her to help others in their lives. Her sense of humor, big smile, quick wit, feistiness and even some of her orneriness will be missed. We miss you and love you, Grandma!
She is survived by three grandchildren, Jennie Elbert, Ken Elbert and Karen Irigoyen; the grandchildren's mother and dear friend, Faye Ledward; and two great-grandchildren, Kyndra and Kylie.
Services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel, 2201 N. Phoenix Rd., Medford, OR 97504, 773-6162 on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 1:30 p.m.
