Bob was born on March 30} 1929 in Leedy, Oklahoma to Quincy and Ruby Cabler. He was the youngest of six siblings} Rleta Summers, Jack Cabler, Wilma Schaal, Joe Cabler and Harold Cabler.
Bob married his first wife Rita on November 29, 1946. They had three children together, Dayle (Roger) Imus, Rick (Debbie) Cabler and Peggy (Phil) Bennett. Bob and Rita were married until her death in 1992.
In 2003, Bob married Carmen Cabler. He gained twostep-children, Carmen (Ted) Helman and Tony (Marie) Cabler. At the time of his passing he had 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Bob worked for most of his life in the logging industry until retiring from Vanderlip Logging Company in 1991. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, traveling, watching his grandkids play baseball, but most of all he loved and valued his family.
Several years ago, Bob became ill with Alzheimer's which became more progressive in the last year of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Rleta, Jack, Wilma and Joe, wife Rita, son Rick Cabler and son in law Roger Imus.
The entire Cabler family would like to say a special thank you to Marie Cabler. When Bob became ill, Marie helped in every way she could. Bob and Marie had a special relationship; he highly respected her and thought of her as a daughter. He truly felt she was a huge blessing to our family.
A service will be held on September 14th, 2011 at 4 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel. Reception immediately to follow at the Moose Lodge of Medford, located at 241 East Barnett Road.
