Peggy Stater
Margaret "Peggy" Throne Stater, 86, passed Sunday, April 25, 2010 at her home in Medford, Ore. She was born Sept. 14, 1923 in Lacrosse, Wis. Peggy served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
She was married to Jack Reynolds in Reno, Nev. on Dec. 12, 1966. They moved to the Rogue Valley from Petaluma, Calif. in 1972.
Peggy was a secretary by trade. She opened and operated the Jacksonville Information Center while at the same time serving as president of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce from 1976-1978. She served as a Jacksonville City Council person from 1981-1982 and later was the Mayor of Jacksonville from 1983-1984. Peggy was once featured in the publication "Prime Time."
Peggy enjoyed reading and playing bridge in her spare time.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; and one brother. She is survived by her nephews David Throne of Jacksonville, Ore. and Jim Throne of Grants Pass, Ore.
