Pamela Rae Conrad passed away August 17, 2024, in Medford, Oregon after a short battle with colon cancer. Pamela was born in Miles City, Montana on October 3rd, 1951, to parents Neal and Lois Halsey. Pamela lived on the family farm in Lindsey, Montana where her grandpa Halsey bought her pony named Beauty. She loved that pony and enjoyed her time on the farm. Pamela learned to drive the grain truck on the farm at age 10. One day she was due at the grain bin and she had not shown up so the family went to see where she was and she had accidentally rolled the grain truck, luckily she was uninjured. Pamela attended Lyndsey Grade School until the family moved to Billings, Montana at age 13.
Pamela went on to attend Will James Middle School in Billings, Montana. She graduated from West High School in 1969.
Throughout high school, Pamela worked for 4 B's restaurants. After graduating, she worked for Deluxe Check Printing for many years. This job took her to Nebraska where she and her family lived for a few years before returning to Montana.
Pamela remarried and moved to Indiana where she worked for Harding and Dahm Management in Fort Waynes, and Berne Furniture in Berne. She eventually moved back to Montana where she ended up working for High Country Meats in Lincoln. After a move to Billings Pamela worked for Corcoran Trucking, then WHW trucking, then back to work for Corcoran Trucking until 2008. She then went on to work for Big Horn Resort and Hilton Hotels as a night auditor before finally being able to retire.
Pamela enjoyed sewing from a young age. She also loved quilting, crocheting, and was an avid reader. She loved being outdoors, gardening, camping, sitting around the fire and walking on the Oregon beach looking for sea glass and agates. She enjoyed visiting the Red Lodge area were she and her friend Bob would go to camp. They would also go in the fall to the Slippery Ann Wildlife Refuge in Montana where they would camp and watch the Elk in rut, she loved this !!
Pamela is survived by her father, Neal Halsey of Nampa Idaho, siblings Laura Brent of Billings, Montana, Ray Halsey of Billings, Montana, and Russ Halsey of Nampa, Idaho. Children Jamie and Tim Sundheim of Medford, Oregon, Joshua Conrad of Angola, Indiana, and Kevin and Angela Conrad of Billings, Montana. Grandchildren Colten Sundheim of Medford Oregon, Kourtney and Varun Kirti of Portland, Oregon, who are expecting Pamela's first great-grandchild baby Arjun, due in October. She had been so excited about his arrival but know she will be looking down on him from heaven. Collin Conrad of Angola, Indiana, Kadence Conrad of Angola, Indiana, Madelyn Conrad of Angola, Indiana.
Pamela is very loved by her large family and will be greatly missed.
