Ora Jean Zimmerer

Ora Jean Zimmerer, 80, went home to see Jesus on October 14, 2022. She was at home in Talent, OR. surrounded by her family.
We will miss a truly spirit-filled person that spread joy to everyone she met.
Ora Jean was born in Clovis, NM to Imogene {Folks] Henderson and C.W. Henderson on February 27th, 1942. She grew up in Amarillo, Tx as a proud Texas girl. She met her husband Donald Zimmerer in Jr. High school. They were married on June 20, 1964, in Amarillo. She worked as a beautician in Arlington, TX. while Don finished college. Their first child, Kevin, was born in Arlington, TX. Their second child, Kurt was born in Hutchinson, KS. Their third child, Jennifer, was also born in Hutchinson.
Ora Jean was a housewife until the children were old enough. She later worked as a sales consultant for women’s clothing stores in both Kansas and Minnesota. She and Don moved to Talent, OR in 2005 to be near Kevin, his wife Sheryl, and their 2 Daughters.
Ora Jean’s favorite hobby was singing in Barbershop quartets. Her quartet performed locally in Kansas. She sang in the church choir. Her family will forever be grateful for her joyful, beautiful spirit.
Ora Jean is survived by her loving husband, Don; her children, Kevin (Sheryl), Kurt, and Jennifer; her sister, Gerry (Steve); and grandchildren, Cassie (Rob) and Katelyn (Reginald).
Funeral mass is on Oct. 27 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford at 11:00am. Reception to follow mass. Graveside service at Hillcrest Memorial Park. www.hillcrestmortuary.com Friday October 28 at 10:00am.
