Opal Jean Hackbert

Opal Jean Hackbert, 88, of Medford, Oregon passed on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford. She was born Feb. 6, 1923 in Bonanza, Oregon to Earl & Hazel(Burkhart)Brown. Opal has been in Medford the last five years coming here from Grants Pass, Oregon. She enjoyed attending the Applegate Christian Fellowship Church. She had been an office manager with the Raytheon Electronics Corp. in Santa Barbara, CA. for 30 years prior to coming to Oregon. After retirement she enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles. Opal is survived by her daughter Tamara Conklin of Medford, Oregon, a grandson Darin(Monica) Hayes of Medford, OR., a grand daughter Kari(Jason) Kuykendall of Medford, OR., six great grandchildren; Justin Hayes, Vanessa Hayes, Sara Hayes, Derrick(Lindsay) Poff, Rachel Kuykendall and Nicolas Kuykendall, three great great grandchildren; Memphis Hayes, Adison Hayes and Brayden Poff. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the family home on 1:00PM Thursday, May 14, 2011.
