Michael Edward Higday

Michael Edward Higday, 66, of Medford, OR. passed Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Providence Medford Medical Center. Mike was born Aug. 21, 1944 in Medford to Herman Hall & Mary Lue(Hunt) Higday and attended both Eagle Point and Medford schools. He has been a lifetime area resident except for a short time in Idaho. On June 12, 1964 in Reno, NV. he married Katherine Diane Higday who survives. Mike worked as a millwright for Boise Cascade for 39years. He and Katherine attended Calvary Church in Jacksonville, OR. Mike was in the National Guard in the early 1960's. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and riding ATV's. In addition to Katherine he is survived by two children; son Jim(Kristi) Higday of Medford and daughter April Niell of Talent, a brother Herman Donald Higday of Medford and sister Betty Ann Higday of Idaho, and three grandchildren; Meghan and Eric Higday and Nick Niell.
