Mary L. Maddox

Mary Louise Maddox joined family and friends at the side of our Father in Heaven, Thursday, May 22, 2014. Mary was born August 29, 1936 to Paul and Helen Wehrman in Dickinson, N.D.

Mary moved to Medford, Ore. where she met and married Dace Maddox while working as a nurse for Sacred Heart Hospital in 1959-1960. After the first of eight children was born, Mary chose the challenging career of a devoted wife and loving mother. In her free time Mary enjoyed sewing, needle arts, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her husband, Dace Maddox of Jacksonville, Ore.; three brothers, Gene, Gerhart, and Raymond; four sisters, Theresa, JoAnne, Virginia, and Dorothy; sons, Rupert, Joseph, Patrick, and Andrew; daughters, Regina, Mary, Laura, and Suzanna; eight grand-children and two great-grandchildren.

Please join us for a viewing from 4:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m Wednesday May 28, 2014 at Hillcrest Chapel. Funeral Services are at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Donations may be made to Providence Home Care/Hospice.

Mary had a beautiful spirit and love of life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
