Mary Jane Armstrong
Mary Jane Armstrong, 76, of Gold Hill, passed away at her home on August 24, 2010. She was born on January 18, 1934, in Knoxville, PA. to Clayton Wilcox and Ruth Callighan . Mary was married to William Henry Armstrong who preceded her in 2003. Mary had a very busy and full life, she trained as a Nun at Sisters of Mercy in Rochester, NY. Mary was a paramedic in L.A. and enjoyed EMT at the L.A. Rams football games. She was an Eucharist Minister for many years, later she volunteered as a Chaplain at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass. Mary was a Breast Cancer survivor, she was active in the American Cancer Society Relay for life. She was preceded by her Husband William, and two brothers, J. Richard Wilcox & William B. Wilcox. She is survived by two Nephews, William B. Wilcox, and Jeffrey R. Wilcox of Coundersport, PA. MJ will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 4th, 10:00 AM at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Grants Pass, OR. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer.
