Marilyn Hodges

July 29, 1933 — June 14, 2021

Marilyn Hodges passed away on Monday, June 14th after a long struggle with
Alzheimer's. She is the daughter of Earl and Louise Miller of Medford and is survived by her husband Dale, son Gordon, and grandchildren Nichole and Tyler Connor.
Marilyn graduated with a bachelor of science in medical technology from the University of Oregon. Dale and Marilyn were married on September 2nd 1957 and were happily married for over 63 years. Their son Gordon is still a local resident and their daughter Linda was lost to cancer in 1997. Their adopted son Darrell also lost a battle to cancer in 2018.
In her younger years Marilyn was active in the local Jayceettes and the couple spent many happy days camping, fishing and visiting the Oregon coast. It was affordable entertainment. She served as both den mother for Cub Scouts and a pack leader for Brownies, as well as being supportive of musical groups and Masonic organizations for her children. Once the kids were out of grade school, she went to work as a lab technician at Rogue Valley Medical Center until her eventual retirement. Her cat Chloe was a great companion in later years and she spent many happy evenings with her curled (or sprawled) on her lap.
A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, she will truly be missed by family and friends. Rest in peace and be with the Lord, we will see you again.
Memorial services are planned for Saturday, June 26th at 2:00 pm
at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel, 2201 N. Phoenix Rd, Medford, OR 97504 where she will take her rest. If possible, please RSVP via grdnhodges@gmail.com if planning to attend. She will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford, Oregon.
