Manuel Garcia Calderon

Manuel Garcia Calderon, age 77, of Phoenix, Oregon passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012. He was born January 4, 1935 in Villanueva, Zacatecas, Mexico to Manuel Garcia & Guadalupe Calderon. In March, 1961 he married Aurelia Escobar. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Manuel worked for Harry & David Orchards. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. Manuel was known as a very responsible, honest man and a hard worker. He raised his family by setting a good example for them to follow. He and Aurelia have three children; Jose Luis(Teresa) Garcia of Anaheim, CA., Pablo(Reveca) Garcia of Phoenix, OR., daughter Veronica(Pedro) Salamanca of Medford, OR. He has many brothers and sister. Sister are Maria DeJesus, Gregoria, Nicolasa, Lola, Sofia, Rosa, Esperansa, Adelita and Santos. Brothers are Francisco, Mario and Jose. There are six grandchildren; Luis Angel, Francisco Manuel, Evelyn, Daisy, Pablo and Natalie. The Funeral Mass will be 11:00AM Friday, January 6, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford. Fr. Kelly Vandehey officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford, OR. Viewing will be Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 from 3-10PM at Hillcrest.
