Maggie Lee Davis peacefully left us to go be with her Father in Heaven on June 13th, 2011. She was 87 years young. She left on her terms with her children by her side. Maggie had a dry stroke on Friday June 10th, 2011. Born Maggie Lee Lawson in Three Sands Oklahoma on November 7th, 1923, Maggie was one of nine children of parents James Lawson and Lillie Belle Lawson (Underwood). She married Floyd Allen Davis on April 11th, 1941 at age 17. They had their first child, Maggie Jean Davis on May 15th, 1943. Sixteen years later, May 15th, 1959 they received their adopted son Ray Allen Davis from Seoul, Korea. Rhonda Claire Davis, Maggie and Floyd's third child was born on their 23rd wedding anniversary, April 11th 1964. Maggie was full of life and lived her life to its fullest. She was passionate about music and played the piano and the accordion. She was a master tailor and involved in creating and producing Wheelies Bent wear, custom designed clothing for people confined to wheel chairs. She loved supporting under privileged children and lived her life according to her beliefs in God. She was an active participant in her church. Maggie made friends where ever she was and touched the lives of all those who knew her. Maggie was always supportive of all of her family and their endeavors spending countless hours in prayer on their behalf. Maggie was preceded by her husband of 56 years who passed on October 10th, 1995, as well her oldest daughter Maggie Jean Bethel who passed on October 24th, 1997. All of Maggie's brothers and sisters preceded her. Left to carry on Maggie's legacy is her son Ray Davis (Kim) and her daughter Rhonda Krasznavolgyi (Troy). Surviving her also are eight grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren. A viewing will be at 10:00 am with Memorial Services to follow at the Calapooia Free Methodist Church in Sutherlin, Ore. on June 18, 2011, at 11am.
