Lyle Walther, 70, passed away December 8, 2014 at home after a long battle with cancer. Lyle was born in Sonoma, Calif. March 13, 1944 to parents Lyle and Edris Walther.
He is survived by his partner of almost 40 years, Kathy McCullough; sister, Thelma Jackson, Yreka, Calif.; nieces, Chris (Gary) Warren, Sparks, Nev., Sharon (Gary) West, Porterville, Calif., Carol (Tom) Bagwell, and Susan (Mike) Malone, Yreka, Calif.
Lyle's family moved a lot in his younger years and ended up in Central Point in the late 50s. He graduated from Crater High School in 1962 and went on to get a degree from Southern Oregon College. He retired from Carestream, originally 3M, in 2009 after almost 35 years. Lyle enjoyed hunting, shooting, old cars, and visiting the high desert of Oregon.
The service is being held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 13, 2014 at Hillcrest Mortuary Chapel, 2201 N Phoenix Rd, Medford. Hillcrest Mortuary is in charge of arrangements,
