Louise S. Dulany, 93, of Central Point, Ore., went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009. She was born on Nov. 22, 1915 to Fred and Minnie Schutt in Gwinner, N.D. and was the oldest of six children. She married our dad, Jack O. Dulany in Reno, Nev. on June 5, 1946. They shared a home in Central Point, Ore., until his death in April 1999.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Becky) Dulany, of Santa Maria, Calif., Doris (David) Hopkins, of Tehachapi, Calif., Steven (Bobbie) Dulany, of Eagle Point, Ore. and Vernon Dulany, of North Pole, Alaska; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Vincent (Inez) Schutt, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and sister, Leona Carpenter, of Medford, Ore. She was blessed to have very special friends, Stan and Barbara Matchett, of Medford, Ore. and Floyd and Eunice Brown, of Central Point, Ore., along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, Louise was preceded in death by three brothers and sisters-in-law; a loving daughter-in-law, Patty, of 34 years and a brother-in-law, Roger Carpenter.
Besides being with her family, mom enjoyed sewing, cooking, cake decorating and gardening. She retired from the sewing department at Rogue Valley Hospital and was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Central Point. Her gardens were always beautiful outside of her house and she was the best chef for each birthday with her one of a kind birthday cakes and her popular honeycake at Christmas.
