Lorraine Robinson, age 82, passed away the evening of Friday, March 23, 2012 at Rogue Valley Medical Center. Lorraine Shaw was born to Alma Ray Shaw and Florence Anna Turner on June 6, 1929, in Tetonia, Idaho. Lorraine moved to the Rogue Valley from California in the mid 1960s. She has lived in Ashland, Medford, Talent and most recently Rogue River. She worked many years assembling circuit boards for electronics. Lorraine retired from Southern Oregon State College where she worked as a custodian. She retired a second time from Service Master of Medford, Ore. She was a long time member of the LDS church, Ward 1, Ashland, OR.
During her life time she enjoyed fishing hunting and camping. She loved to garden and was an avid reader and painter. Spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren was what she enjoyed most.
She was preceded in death by brother, Ronald Shaw of Sacramento, Calif.; and sisters Dorothy Cunningham of Moses Lake, Wash., Vera Reddick of Jerome, Idaho and Melvin Jensen of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She is survived by twin sister, Laverne Colburn of Pocatello, Idaho; brothers William Shaw of Springfield, Ga., and Terry Shaw of Silverdale, Wash.; daughters Kimber (Dave ) South of Gold Hill, Ore., and Kathleen Medina of Rogue River, Ore.; granddaughters; Mandy (Tracey) Coon of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Brandy Martin-Medina of Medford, Ore.; grandson Michael Medina of Hillsboro, Ore.; great-granddaughters; Sandra Perez and Alma Gomez of Medford, Ore.; and great-grandson Marcus Coon of Klamath Falls, Ore.
A memorial service was held Saturday March 31, 2012 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel, 2201 N. Phoenix Road, Medford, OR.
