Lorene Lowery, longtime resident of Shady Cove, died at her home Wednesday, August 17, 2016
"Rene" to all of her friends, was born December 03, 1928 to Richard and Verona Rush in Mountainburg, Ark. She married the love of her life, John D Lowery, March of 1946 in Van Buren Ark. They moved to the Shady Cove area that same year and began their adventure of building their new life together for
the following 58 years. "Rene" was a homemaker, a loving wife and wonderful mother to her three
children. Rene's kind heart and fun loving smile earned her many friends who loved her for the special lady that she was.
Rene enjoyed gardening, traveling, sewing, quilt making, camping and driving through the mountains. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Rene is survived by two of her children, son Johnie Lowery (Judy) and Edith Thames (Jim Lee), 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren,
brother Raymond Rush, Farmington, Ark and sister Nettie Newman, Bentonville, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, her son Steve, her sister Millie, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thurs. Aug. 25, 2016 at the Hillcrest Memorial Chapel,
