Leslie Wayne Welburn

Leslie "Les" Wayne Welburn, 58, of White City, Ore., passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at RVMC, after a long illness. Les was born on August 7, 1952, in Ashland, Ore., to Donald and Jean Welburn. He was a graduate of Phoenix High School, and attended Rogue Community College. Les worked in many different industries during his lifetime, including owning his own log hauling company. He finished his career at Pacific Electrical Contractors, where he was employed for over 18 years. Les is survived by his wife of 39 years, Shirley, and daughters, Kimberly Badilla (spouse Dennis), Stacey St. Arnold (spouse Justin), and son, Craig Welburn (spouse Heather). Les has four grandchildren, Dillan and Karyssa Badilla, and Sydney and Murray Welburn. He is also survived by his mother, Jean Welburn, and many other family members, and friends whom he considered family. He was preceded in death by daughter, Amanda, and father, Donald. A service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford, Ore., on Friday, April 15, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the local Relay for Life.
