Keith Clifford McLean, 81, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011, at Rogue Valley Hospital in Medford, Ore. He had suffered a massive stroke during the evening while he was sleeping. Keith was born in Phoenix, Ariz., on January 27, 1930, to George and Wilma McLean.
Keith was the eldest of four boys, Doug, Kerwin, and Duane. He moved to Grants Pass, Ore., in 1937, and graduated from Grants Pass High School, in the class of 1948. He earned a full college basketball scholarship to Oregon State in 1948. He married Neva Powell in 1950, having six wonderful children. Keith moved to Medford, Ore., in 1951, and he and Neva divorced in 1971. In May 1975, he married Lora Lee Baker.
Keith worked for Budge McHugh Supply for 29 years, before retiring in 1992. He was very involved in the Active 20-30 club, Elks Lodge, and had a longtime association with the Jolly Boys. Keith enjoyed many years of bowling for Pat and Mike's Building Supply men's team along with playing golf. He played cards every Thursday night with his friends.
Keith is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lora McLean; children, Robert, Linda, Donald, Terri, Gary and Karen; stepchildren, Clint and Chris; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and two more on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Doug McLean; and his first wife, Neva White.
The memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, February 25, 2011, at Eastwood Baptist Church Medford, Ore. Flowers may be sent to the church: additional memorial contributions may be made to the Deacons Fund at Eastwood Baptist Church.
