Kathleen Mary Mason

Kathleen “Kathy” Mason was born in San Francisco, California on August 3,1938 and entered Heaven’s gates June 19, 2020.
Growing up she became a horse jockey during her high school years riding for Don Jackson in Siskiyou County and Southern Oregon. Her love for animals continued all her life. Growing up in the city and then moving to the country to a small farm ......living the country life was a brand new experience for her. What she had learned, she shared with many, in her community of Shady Cove and neighboring cities her knowledge of raising animals, gardening, cooking and canning. She won Queen of the Kitchen twice at the Jackson County Fair. She was an active member in the 4-H community.
She is survived by 4 of her children Mary Ann Ceglia, Inez Lew, Iva Mason Grant and James Mason. She has 5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
Memorial Service was held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens on June 29, 2020.
