Judith Ann Henderson

Judith Henderson ended her courageous battle with cancer Thursday, June 27, 2013. Judy was born July 5, 1940, in Boone, Iowa, where she lived until she moved with her family to Anaheim, Calif. She graduated from Anaheim High School and attended several colleges in California, earning an Associate's Degree in fine art.
After moving to Southern Oregon in 1987, she married Ralph Henderson, Judy deeply loved her family and friends, nature, art and life. She particularly loved outdoor activities, including hiking, biking and camping.
She was committed to social issues that addressed peace and compassion, volunteering for a variety of organizations involved in fair housing, environmental issues, health care and art. She was also active locally in Fair Share and served on the board of the Rogue Gallery and Art Center.
Judy worked for several companies as a construction coordinator in both California and Oregon. She also worked in the Jackson County library System and more recently the medical libraries of Providence Medical Center and Rogue Valley Regional Medical Center.
Judy is survived by her husband, Ralph, Talent, Ore.; her son, Michael Williams, Portland, Ore.; her daughter, Laurel Stevens, Huntington Beach, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life is planned for July 27, 2013 at Rogue Art Gallery at 3:30 pm.
