John Young

John J. Young, 89, of Medford, Ore. passed away Friday, September 19, 2014. John was born February 5, 1925 in Elizabethton, Tenn. To John and Matilda Young. John and June were married March 2, 1947. June passed away in 1992. On January 6, 1996 in Medford, Ore. He married Mildred Mottern of Watauga, Tenn. She moved back to Tenn in 2012. John was in the U.S. Army and served in Normandy, France during WWII. He worked as Pressman Foreman at the Medford Mail Tribune. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time. John is survived by his son, James Young of Medford, Ore and Pahoa, Hawaii; daughters, Jane Jones (Bill) of White City and Judith Mobbs of Medford; grandchildren, Tarah Lewis and Sarah Nabarrete; and great-grandchildren, David Nabarrete and Elisabeth Nabarrete.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel.
