John E. Rothermel Mar. 7, 1922 - Jan. 13, 2008
John Rothermel went to be with his Lord on Sunday evening. He was 85 and the son of Clyde and Mildred Rothermel. He is survived by his daughter, Kerry Heering; two step daughters, Tracy Harris and Rhonda Kalista; and his sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Paul Walker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Rothermel, in 1999.
Jack served in the Navy during World War II; worked for the postal service in California, JCPenneys in Colorado and then retired from the State of California as a toll bridge collector on the Benicia bridge. He and his wife moved to Phoenix, Ore. in 1990 to lead a quieter life. He was an avid bowler, fisherman and archer. He loved to sing in the church choir and is remembered as a man with a sweet spirit who loved Jesus. He was not a man of many words but he meant what he said.
No services will be held. He is already celebrating with Jesus in heaven.
