Jerome William Maehren, 91, of Roseburg, Ore, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011. He was born on March 6, 1919, in Avon Minn., to Herman Maehren and Anna Achman. In 1941, Jerome married his first wife, Marion Reber. He later married Iris G. Robbins, who preceded him in death on December 4, 1990. In 2001, he married his wife, Edna Lundy Griffitts-Maehren, who survives him.
Jerome enjoyed fishing, hunting and dancing. He was in the Navy Sea Bees during World War II, and was the top welder in his platoon. Jerome is survived by his loving wife, Edna; daughters, Diane Parker, of Roseburg, Ore., Linda Conrad, of Medford, Ore., and Gerry Clark, of Willamina, Ore.;stepsons, Jim, Norman and Coeon Henney; three sisters, Charlene, Ilene, and Elaine, all of Minn.; brother, Charles Maehren, of Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by stepson, Tom Henney.
