James Arthur Juhl

James (Jim) A. Juhl James Arthur Juhl, 79, of Phoenix, Oregon passed Sunday, March 13, 2011. He was born Feb. 19, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to Arthur & Nora Juhl. In 1952 in Chicago he married Angie who survives. They were married for 59 years. He and Angie spent nearly 30 years in Yreka, CA before coming to Phoenix, OR. Jim had been an automobile mechanic during his working years and spent his final years with the CCC before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and spending time with his family. Survivors in addition to Angie include their children; daughter Jayne Garland of Yreka, CA., son Jim Juhl of Central Point, OR., daughter Jeri Reno of Phoenix, OR., daughter Joann Kaufmann of Lake Shastina, CA., daughter Joyce Marks of Eagle Point, OR., and son John Juhl of Riverside, CA., 13 grandchildren; Christopher Alamillo, Natishia Alamillo, Zachary Kaufmann, Bree Garland, Ryan Juhl, Sarah Juhl, Erin Reno, Jason Reno, Kelli Reno, Ariana Marks, Andy Marks, Mariah Juhl, and Brandon Juhl, a great grand daughter Gianna Marks.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimers Assn. Fr. Mike Walker will officiate a memorial mass at 1:00PM Friday, March 18, 2011 at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church in Central Point, Oregon. Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary in care of arrangements. www.hillcrestmortuary .
