James 'Lenny' Hubbard age 80 of Medford, Ore passed away Jan 25, 2012 at RVMC. Lenny was born in Denver, Co. on Mar 18, 1931 to John and Dorothy Hubbard. Lenny served as a Sergeant in the US Army in the Korean war. In 1965 he met the love of his life Gloria Ratto and married her in Hayward, Ca. Three years later they moved to Medford. Lenny worked at many places over 35 yrs in the Rogue Valley, including; Standard Transformer, Antelope Welding and Supply, Hubbard Battery, and Cal-Ore Carbide. Lenny served as a volunteer fire-fighter in the Bay Area, he was president of East Bay Rod and Custom Car Club, he was also the president of State of Jefferson Quarter Horse Association, and he was a member of Southern Oregon Karter's Association. For hobbies Lenny loved water skiing, restoring classic cars, raising and showing quarter horses, racing go-karts, photography, collecting hot wheels, he was a motor sports enthusiast, and most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a faithful attendee of Sacred Heart and Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Churches. Lenny is survived by his dear wife, Gloria Hubbard as well as his son Scott Hubbard and his wife Wendy of Cave Creek, Arizona, and daughter Stacy Hubbard of Portland, Oregon, and grandchildren Mercedes, Zach, Mario, and Valentina, Sister Marjorie Staff and niece and nephew Sherry and Bob Duggins, and grand-dog Mozey. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Lisa Hubbard. He was an organ donor. A memorial service will be held at lOam on Saturday Feb. 4th, 2012 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel, 2201 N.
