Helen O'Sullivan Sorena

Helen 0'Sullivan Sorena, age 81, of Phoenix, OR., passed away Sunday, August 21,2011, in Rogue River, Oregon. She was born February 9, 1930, in Bowling Green, Ky., to Burney and Cissy Gregory. She graduated high school and married twice. Helen was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, cooking, crocheting and gardening. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Helen is survived by her son, Freeman Grubbs, of Lakeside, OR.; daughter, Peggy Comwell,of Indianapolis, ID.; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Elizabeth, Dorothy, Roxy, and Jennie; brothers, Robert and Henry; her two husbands, James 0'Sullivan and James Sorena; and her granddaughter, Lisa Kerr. Graveside services were held on August 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Tehachapi Public Cemetery, 920 Enterprise Way, Tehachapi, Calif. Father Ronald Sweat will be officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Bear Lake Estates, Phoenix, OR. Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Hospice or the Southern Oregon Humane Society.
