Gladys Irene Strawn

Gladys Irene Strawn, age 76, of Medford, OR., passed away Monday, April 16, 2012. As a life long Rogue Valley resident, she was born one of 16 children on April 28, 1935 in Talent; OR., to Ralph and Vica (Evans) Welburn. On September 29, 1951, in Reno, Nev., she married James S. Strawn who preceded her in death. She worked for over 30 years at Harry & David Corp. as assistant training supervisor. Gladys enjoyed her family and especially her great grandchildren. She is survived by her son, James M. Strawn, and his fiance, Dawn, and family; two grandchildren, Ashley and Jeremy; eight great grandchildren, James, Justine, Kianna, Savahna, Brooke, Dusty, Emma, and Sammy; seven sisters; and one brother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; son Randy; two sisters; and five brothers. A viewing will be he1d on Thursday, April 19, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel.
