Frances G Marsing passed away at home surrounded by family and loved ones May 24th, 2014 after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 11, 1941 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Rudolf Gonzales and Lena Martinez. She was a devoted sister, aunt, mother, and friend.
Fran received her degree in nursing at Southern Oregon University. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Rogue Valley Medical Center from 1987 until she retired in 2011. She was one of the founders and the treasurer of the Southern Oregon Cancer Awareness Foundation. Fran was grateful for time spent with family. She enjoyed traveling, arts and crafts, canning, and crocheting.
Fran was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Temple for 24 years. Additionally, she served the Lord by teaching primary children most Sundays and held a true love for the children she guided.
Fran was preceded in death by her grandson, Kristopher Butler. She is survived by her children, Randolph Lee Marsing, Richard Alan Marsing, Gloria Ann Butler, Christy Renee Marsing, Glenda Jean Borden, Teresa Lyn McCullom, and Diane LeRae Bullard. Fran was proud to be the grandmother of 22 grandchildren: Nicademus Marsing, Justin Marsing, Jason Marsing, Jazmin Maya, Cody Marsing, DeJuane Pickett, Keosha Butler, Amanda Barber, Joshua Barber, Brittany Bergstrom, Bo Bergstrom, Jordon Bergstrom, Jacoby Tschantre, Nadine Lucia, NaTasha Tschantre, Elizabeth Tschantre, Tessa Tschantre, Grant Nobleman, Kiva McCollum, Jessica Bullard, and Trevor Bullard. Fran is survived by an additional 16 great-grandchildren.
This is the voice I keep hearing as the Holy Spirit calms my heart. - Fear not, be not dismayed for I am with thee. I am thy God and I will strengthen thee, I will uphold thee.
