Fern Amanda Wonacott Mosier, age 98, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011, in Preston, Idaho. Prior to moving to Idaho, she was a resident of Talent, Ore., for several years followed by a few years in Yuba City, Calif. Fern was born May 6, 1913, in Willits, Calif., to Harold Howard Wonacott and Lula Jane Robertson Wonacott. She was the oldest of three children a well as a half-sister and a half-brother. They moved to Fort Bragg, Calif., where Fern attended school and graduated from Fort Bragg High School. In 1935, she married George Mosier, the love of her life. They had four children. George passed away in 1990 in Medford, Ore. Following his death, Fern moved to Colorado and Idaho. Her survivors are her children Georgia and Lairy Brookshire of Klamath Falls, Ore., Gary and Carolyn Mosier of Utah, Darlene and Rod Wilkin of Downey, Idaho, and Janet Mosier of Texas. Those preceding her in death were a great-grandson Dustin Hill, a granddaughter Bonnie Seibel, and her three brothers Norman, Harold Jr. and Robert Wonacott. Her sister Shasta Boardman survived her as well as grandchildren Linda and Corey Hunter of Grass Valley, Calif., Steve Thompson of Alaska, Jon, Daniel and Tawnya of Utah, Glenn and Rhonda and David of Washington, Deanna Hill of Yuba City, and Shaundra and Danae Stewart of Texas. Several children and grandchildren attended Fern's 98th birthday party in Preston on May 6, 2011. Also surviving are many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford, Ore., with the Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints officiating on Monday, June 20, 2011, at 1 p.m.
