Elsie Leaming Lee

Elsie Leaming Lee, age 99, passed peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at a skilled nursing facility in Medford, Oregon.
Elsie was born August 7, 1916 in Gregory, South Dakota, the daughter of Peter and Frances(Faimon) Vasicek. She grew up on a farm in nearby Herrick, SD. In 1942, she married Arthur Colmer Leaming. Elsie and Art were longtime residents of Klamath Falls, Oregon where they raised three daughters. After Art died in 1982, Elsie married Bob Lee of Winlock, WA. After Bob died in 1993, she moved into Woodland Estates in Chehalis,WA, living there until 2005. She spent the last ten plus years of her life at Fountain Plaza in Medford, OR.
Elsie was an excellent seamstress and cook. She enjoyed bowling, and bowled on a team into her late eighties. After moving to Medford, she became an accomplished Wii bowler. She was also a devoted Seattle Mariners fan.
Elsie is survived by her daughters, Virginia (Ginger) and her husband Dick Dehlinger of Bend, OR; Karen and her husband Charles Dominik of St. George, UT; Susan and her husband Lanny Guyer of Medford; grandson Eric Guyer and his wife Jill of Ashland, OR; granddaughter Kari and her husband Jean Schneider of Central Point, OR, and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by granddaughters Cindy Laws and Christine Laws Young, and grandson Kyle Guyer. She also outlived seven brothers and sisters.
There will be a private graveside service for immediate family members at Eternal Hills Memorial Cemetery in Klamath Falls. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to the Salvation Army.
