Dorothy Myrtle Ashwood, 77, of Central Point and Brookings, Ore., passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 in Central Point. Private family services were held, Monday June 1, 2009 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford, Ore. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Dorothy was born June 22, 1931 in Santa Paula, Calif., to Jeff and Nellie Locke. She married Charles Ashwood Jan. 17, 1958 in Arvin, Calif., also during the year of 1958, they relocated to Central Point, Ore. Dorothy enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, her kids and grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her husband; son, Jerry Fisher, Missouri; daughters, Charlene Norman, Sams Valley, Ore. and Cheryl Cook, Gold Hill, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
