We lost our wonderful Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma and dear friend on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. She peacefully passed away in the home that she loved, with her dog Mini at her side. Doris Jean Walker/Greenfield/Enright was 84. She was born on March 24, 1928, in Standish, Michigan, to Elsie Nelson Walker and Guy Elmer Walker. On June 27, 1948, she married Gerald E. Greenfield in Boulder, Colorado, and together they had four children: Terri, Cynthia, Peggy, and Ross. The marriage ended in divorce. Years later, Doris remarried with Joe Ossie Enright, of Boulder, who passed away on January 8, 1980. Doris worked as a nurse in Boulder, Colorado, and was a unit secretary at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford, Oregon. She retired in 1993 at the age of 65. A unique soul, Doris was full of life, funny, and feisty. Her family will always remember her by the color red, which symbolizes her stubbornness, her big-hearted love for family and friends, and the fire she always had within. She greatly loved all animals, enjoyed gardening (miniature roses and bonsais were her favorites), and she was an avid reader. She enjoyed making rawhide rattles and shawls for the many powwows she attended. Her love for life was contagious and has been passed on to her entire family. She will be greatly missed. Doris is survived by her two sisters, Jaye Deines and Jo Seeley; daughters Terri Greenfield, Cynthia Ragsdale, Peggy Nelson Gribben; and her son Ross Greenfield, as well as her grandchildren: Leef Smith, Lars Smith, Lyca Greenfield-Smith, Mitchell Ragsdale, Todd Ragsdale, Brittany Greenfield, Sierra Greenfield, Kristi Nelson Blackhurst, Kori Nelson Acosta, and great-grandchildren: Alex Ragsdale, Jenelle Ragsdale, Alisa Ragsdale, Holly Ragsdale, Zenith Umojah , Jamani Umojah, Chloe Acosta and Logan Acosta. She was preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers, Wayne, Del, Skip, and her sister Ann.
