Donald Joseph Rose, Sr.
Donald Joseph Rose, Sr., 70, of White City, Ore., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Oct. 26,2009. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford, Ore. The Reverends Michael Brown, of Tablerock Fellowship and Jim Larsen, of Christian Church of Ashland will officiate. Don was born on Oct. 20, 1939 in Yreka, Calif. to Joseph and Georgina Rose. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1980. He was married on Nov. 08, 1961 to Carol, who survives. He worked in the Surgery Dept. at RVMC, for 25 years and retired in 2005. Don enjoyed collecting antiques and collectables. He was devoted to his family and friends and known for his selflessness, kindness and generosity. One of his favorite sayings was Busy Hands are Happy Hands. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Carol; daughters, Lisa Casson (Randy), of Yreka, Calif., Donette Crawford (Bob), of White City, Ore., Terry Rose, of White City, Ore.; son, Don, Jr. (Jeri), of Aloha, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Mel and Tony; and numerous nieces and nephews all of whom he loved dearly. Don will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
