Delphia Pearl Monroe

Delphia "Del" Monroe, age 101, passed Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at her home in Medford, OR. Del was born Sept. 30, 1910 in Troy, OR. to Clyde & Myrtle(Conover)Russell. In 1928 she married Levi "Lee" G. Monroe who preceded her in 1994. She worked in food service most of her adult life. Her last position after appx. 25 years at the VA Domicillary in White City was Assistant Dietician. Del is survived by a son Gerald Monroe of Aloha, OR., 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and a large extended family with many friends. In addition to Lee she was preceded by two sons Delbert and Leslie. Memorial services are planned for 10:00AM Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at the Hillcrest Memorial Chapel, 2201 N. Phoenix Rd., Medford, OR. Private family interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Contributions are suggested to your favorite charity.
