Clinton Lester Taylor
Clinton Lester Taylor, 81, of Phoenix, Ore., passed away April 30, 2008, at home.
Clinton was born on January 5, 1927, in Ashland, Ore., to parents, Herbert and Frances Taylor. He grew up and lived in the Rogue Valley all his life. He met his wife, Eva Taylor, and they got married on July 17, 1948, in Ashland. He started his career working in the woods for his father and uncle's business that they owned and operated called "Taylor Bro's Sawmill." After that he worked for "Steve Wilson's Logging and Sawmill: The Double Dee", retiring in 1991.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, reading, mushrooming, watching westerns and sports.
He is survived by his daughters, Joyce A. West (Tommy Neil) of Central Point and Cindy G. Klinzmann (Jerry) of Montrose, Colo.; a sister, Frances Grace of Santa Clara, Calif.; granddaughters, Mera Clements of Coquille, Ore., Jolena West of Central Pointe, Texas, Angela Clark of Montrose, Colo., and Melissa King of Medford, Ore.; three great-granddaughters; and four great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and one brother.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park, with a graveside service on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements by Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, Medford 772-6162.
