Claudia Jane Gaddis

Claudia Jane Gaddis, age 73, of Central Point, Oregon lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at her home. Claudia Jane Grunfelt was born on October 30, 1938 in Los Angeles, Calif. to Clyde Grunfelt and Marguerite (Davis) Pass. In her younger years she was raised in the San Fernando Valley and attended San Fernando Senior High School. In 1955 she married Walter Grosskopf and they had six children. They later divorced. The last 30 years of her life Claudia lived in Oregon residing in the Rogue Valley. She became a Cosmetologist earning her degree at Rogue Community College. She took pride in her work being in cosmetology and retail. Claudia enjoyed such hobbies as traveling, reading, cooking, gardening and painting. She had an eye for fashion and beauty. She loved to spend time with her family, friends and her animals. She is survived by her six children; Susan Darnell (Bryan) of Groveland, Calif.; Gretchen Grosskopf of Grover Beach, Calif.; Thomas Grosskopf (Joan) of Topanga Canyon, Calif.; Kirsten Girardi of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; Jennifer Grosskopf (Craig Schwartz) of Simi Valley, Calif. and Teresa Crahal (Thomas) of Grants Pass, Ore. She was the grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, a sister to Judy Loos (Marc) of Henderson, Nev. and Rita Duran of Coarsegold,Calif. Preceded in death by her parents. Claudia had a beautiful smile that made the world a brighter place. She will be dearly missed by her family & friends.
