Charles Kenney "Ken" Walker, 95, passed Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at his home in the Rogue Valley Manor, Medford, OR. Ken was born Feb. 17, 1915 in Ft. Morgan, CO to Charles & Helen (Kenney) Walker. In 1942 he married Margaret Day. He and Margaret came to the Rogue Valley in 1988 from Orange County, CA. Ken worked as a chemical engineer for the Fluor Corp. in Southern California for over 34 years. He and Margaret were members of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Medford where he served as clerk of session. Ken enjoyed his computer, traveling, reading history and playing the organ. He once built an electronic organ. Survivors include four daughters: Carroll (John) Hirsch of Sebastopol, CA., Ruth (David) Rose of Lexington, MA., Katherine Parker of Portland,OR., and Nancy Walker and husband Jim Clark of North Haven, CT., 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Ken was preceded in death by his wife Margaret in 2000, his sister Helen Louise Mitchell in 1958 and three grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday July 3, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the 1st Presbyterian Church, 85 S. Holly St., Medford, OR. Interment will be beside his wife Margaret in Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the 1st Presbyterian Church in Medford.
