Charles Stanley Rider

In loving memory of Charles Stanley "Stan" Rider, 62 of Phoenix, Ore. Who was called to his heavenly home October 25, 2014. Stan was born October 10, 1952 in Escondido, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Elma ( Snider) Rider.
Stan is survived by Susan, his loving wife and partner in life for 42 years; his son, Shaun Rider (Amber); and his daughter, Stacy Branan (Geoff); 6 grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Santos (Chito), Ruth Janelle De Vore; one brother, Delbert Larry Rider (Doreta); and many nieces and nephews.
When Stan was able to walk, he loved fishing and hunting; he loved the Oregon Coast, family gatherings (especially hamburgers!). He was an avid collector of coins. He could tell jokes that were both silly and funny; he made your face hurt from laughter. He played all things percussion and sang tenor beautifully. Heaven's choir will welcome him.
Graveside services will be held Thursday October 30 at 3:00 p.m. Pastor David Gomez from Jerusalem Center will officiate.
Stan, you will always be in our hearts. You touched our lives and we are grateful for our time with you, though it was too short. Be at peace now where you will no longer endure pain to your body that you have suffered so many years on earth.
