Carlene Hunt
Carlene Hunt, 77, of Jacksonville, Ore., died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at RVMC. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Church in Jacksonville, Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at 11:00 a.m.
Carlene was born Feb. 11, 1931. She was the eldest of five born to Carl and Neva Cook, who preceded her in death. By age 15 she began a lifelong love and commitment as a church accompanist. Her love of music led her into teaching piano for many years. Her family often heard about how her many students and how proud she was of each of them. She also worked and retired from the City of Medford as a police and fire dispatcher.
She is survived by her brother, Dale Cook; sisters, Marilyn Crichton, and Betty Killough; and daughters, Jan Nelson, and Susan Burket.
Also known as "Mom Carlene", to her eight surviving grandchildren, Chad, Todd, Nathan, Eric, Paul, Amy, Carly, and Holly; and seven great-grandchildren, Corbin, Christian, Kail, Zane, Zander, Kaleb, and Havana.
Carlene leaves her legacy of love and devotion for her family and the Lord Jesus Christ.
