Betty Lou Lyman, 87, of Medford, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2008.
Betty was born on June 3, 1920 to parents, Frank and Anna Stierwalt in Savonburg, Kans. She married Lawrence "Larry" Lyman in Las Vegas, Nev., on May 15, 1987. Betty and Larry moved to the Rogue Valley 17 years ago, from Oceanside, Calif.
She was a payroll clerk for Embree Buses in the Los Angeles, Calif., area for 10 years. Betty and Larry enjoyed spending their winters in Palm Springs, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Stierwalt.
Betty is survived by her husband, Larry Lyman; daughter, Cynthia Groth of Azusa, Calif.; sisters, Ollideen Wright of Wichita, Kans., and Lorraine Swanson of Overland Park, Kans.; and niece, Karen Parks of Parker, Colo.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel. Arrangements by Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary - Medford 773-6162. www.hillcrestmortuary.com
