Betty Carter

Betty L. Carter, age 83, of Christmas Valley OR passed June 5, 2013 at St Charles Medical Center in Bend, OR. She was born June 3, 1930 in Payette, ID., to James E. Shearer and Mabel Mordhorst. Betty married Frank E. Carter Nov. 11, 1949 in Medford, OR. Betty had worked for Jackson County, in the Clerk's office and eventually as the supervisor of District Court in Medford for over 15 years retiring in 1985. She and Frank lived many years in Medford before moving to Christmas Valley upon retiring.
Survivors include her husband Frank Carter, daughters Denise Bailey of Bend, OR (husband Bob, grandson Rob (Companion Jenn Cox and her daughter Makayla Ruder) daughter Chris Carter of Fresno, CA (companion Mike Dabich, grandson Jamie (great grandson Bradley, great granddaughter Shaeley) granddaughter Tammy (great granddaughter Melody) grandson Bradley (companion Kathy and great granddaughter Mallorie) and daughter Sandy Fichtner of Eugene, OR ( companion Dave Collier, grandson Steven (great grandson Gabriel).
Betty is preceded in death by her parents and son David. Betty will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford, OR. No service will be held. www.hillcrestmortuary.com
