Arthur Grant Gunner, 92, went home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2020 at Linda Vista Rehab Center in Ashland, Oregon.
Art was born on April 19, 1928 in Seattle, Washington to Arthur and Lillian Gunner. He grew up in Seattle and later lived in San Mateo and Petaluma, California before moving to Medford where he was a resident at Fountain Plaza. He married Marcell on August 8, 1959 and became father to her son and daughter. He was a WWII Navy veteran, former professional ballet dancer, and worked in insurance and accounting. He loved the symphony, the theater, and traveling. Art and Marcell’s favorite places to travel were Boston and New York.
Left to grieve are his daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and John Mueller, daughter Michele Gunner, and son William Palmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Marcell, his brothers Don and Ron Gunner, and his precious grandson, Jonathan Mueller.
His family would like to thank the staff at Linda Vista, as well as the first responders from the Ashland Police and Fire departments for their care and compassion.
Art will be buried next to his wife, Marcell, at Cypress Hill Memorial Park in Petaluma, California. A private graveside service will be held.
